Anatura: a hotel committed to more sustainable tourism in Luxembourg

At Anatura Hotel & SPA Luxembourg, nature is more than just the setting for your stay. Located between the two lakes of Weiswampach, our hotel is surrounded by a natural environment that we are committed to preserving.

From its initial design to its day-to-day operations, Anatura Hotel Luxembourg is committed to a sustainable development approach aimed at gradually reducing its environmental impact, using resources more responsibly and promoting tourism that is more respectful of the environment.

Today, this commitment is reflected in concrete actions throughout the hotel and in our continuous improvement approach, notably through the EcoLabel Luxembourg.

A hotel designed to blend more harmoniously with its environment

Anatura’s environmental approach begins with the building itself. Several solutions have been incorporated to reduce its impact and encourage a more responsible use of resources.

  • 2,500 m² of green roofs, helping the building blend more naturally into its surroundings while creating habitats for biodiversity.
  • Approximately 60 kWp of photovoltaic panels installed for self-consumption, allowing part of the electricity used by the hotel to be generated locally.
  • Rainwater harvesting, with collected rainwater notably reused for toilet flushing.
  • 14 public charging stations for electric vehicles, in addition to 6 charging stations for staff.

Concrete actions every day

Beyond our infrastructure, our approach extends to all aspects of Anatura Hotel & SPA’s operations. It is based on a commitment to continuous improvement and involves all our different departments.

In particular, we are working to:

  • Reduce and improve the sorting of our waste in order to limit its environmental impact.
  • Manage our water and energy consumption and avoid unnecessary waste wherever possible.
  • Prioritise more environmentally friendly products whenever suitable alternatives are available.
  • Promote responsible purchasing and short supply chains, choosing local products and suppliers whenever possible.
  • Protect biodiversity and the natural areas surrounding our hotel.
  • Raise awareness and involve our teams so that good environmental practices become an integral part of the hotel’s day-to-day operations.

Hotels for Trees: our guests’ choices become trees

Our commitment also includes our participation in the Hotels for Trees programme. This initiative transforms certain choices made by our guests during their stay – such as choosing to space out room cleaning, for example – into a concrete contribution to reforestation projects.

In August 2026, Anatura Hotel & SPA reached an important milestone, with 1,000 trees planted thanks to this initiative.

A milestone we are proud of, but above all an initiative we want to continue: every new contribution helps extend the programme’s positive impact.

Towards the EcoLabel Luxembourg

Anatura Hotel & SPA is also working towards the EcoLabel Luxembourg, the national environmental label for tourist accommodation committed to more sustainable management practices.

This approach encourages us to regularly assess our practices, measure our progress and identify new opportunities for improvement in various areas, including energy, water, waste, purchasing, mobility, biodiversity and awareness.

And what can you do as a guest?

A more responsible stay is also built on many small actions. During your stay at Anatura Hotel, you can contribute to our approach too:

  • by limiting your water and energy consumption;
  • by following the waste sorting guidelines in place;
  • by choosing sustainable mobility and public transport whenever possible;
  • by respecting the natural areas and biodiversity surrounding the Weiswampach lakes;
  • by taking part in the environmental initiatives offered by the hotel.

Our ambition is simple: to gradually reduce our environmental impact without compromising the quality, comfort and enjoyment of your stay.

Our approach is constantly evolving. It develops alongside our hotel, our teams and the solutions available to us. We will therefore continue to assess our practices and explore new ways to go further.

Thank you for joining us in contributing to more responsible tourism in Luxembourg.
